Volunteer Tasks

Volunteer opportunities are different and depend on current BFB projects and initiatives on the one hand, and our growing need for help on the other.

They can include:

  • sorting fresh fruits and vegetables at BFB warehouse
  • collecting fruit and vegetable donations during regular visits to companies, trading on the territory of Bulgarplod Slatina, as well as a number of smaller markets
  • packing food for deliveries, following delivery lists and other instructions as needed
  • placing stickers or label donated canned food, etc
  • distributing sorted fruits and vegetables on location at the warehouse or to partnering organizations in case volunteers want to follow the route till the final recipients
  • helping to clean up the warehouse

Volunteers aged 14 to 16 have to be accompanied by a parent, a guardian or a teacher.

Children under the age of 14 can only participate in educational initiatives and visits to the wrehouse.

Volunteers should dress casually and wear comfortable, flat, closed-toed shoes such as sneakers, work shoes, or boots.

Volunteers working in the warehouse should be in good health and sign a health status form before start of work.

Check out our monthly calendar to learn more about current volunteer opportunities.
