The Bulgarian Food Bank Foundation carries out its activities in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act and Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 27, 2016 on the protection of natural persons in connection with the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data.

Grounds for collecting, processing and storing your personal data

  1. Selling and promoting its services mentioned on this website;
  2. Registration and management of a personal profile;
  3. Processing requests to receive food;
  4. Processing applications for voluntary work;
  5. Write comments and messages.

Art. 1. (1) www.bgfoodbank.org collects and processes the personal data of the Users of the Services on the basis of Art. 4, para. 1, items 2 and 3 of the Personal Data Protection Act and more specifically based on the following:

  • Express consent of the User of the service;
  • Fulfillment of the obligations of bgfoodbank.org to the Users under the contracts for the use of the services.

(2) By accepting the general conditions for using the service provided by www.bgfoodbank.org , Users expressly agree that www.bgfoodbank.org has the right to process their personal data provided when registering to use the services.
(3) Art. 2. (1) www.bgfoodbank.org collects and processes the personal data provided by the Users for the purposes of providing the Services under the agreement with the Users, including for the following purposes:

  • accounting purposes;
  • statistical purposes;
  • protection of information security;
  • ensuring the performance of the contract for the provision of the relevant service;
  • resolving disputes between the User and third parties;

Art. 3. (1) www.bgfoodbank.org does not collect or process personal data, and Users do not provide personal data that relate to the following:

  • reveal racial or ethnic origin;
  • reveal political, religious or philosophical beliefs, membership in political parties or organizations, associations with religious, philosophical, political or trade union objectives;

(2) Paragraph 1 does not apply in the cases under Art. 5, para. 2 of the Personal Data Protection Act.

Term of storage of your personal data

Art. 4. (1) www.bgfoodbank.org stores your personal data for a period not longer than the existence of your profile on the website. After the expiry of this period, www.bgfoodbank.org takes the necessary care to delete and destroy all your data without undue delay.

(2) www.bgfoodbank.org notifies you in the event that the data storage period needs to be extended in order to fulfill the objectives, fulfill the contract, in view of legitimate interests of www.bgfoodbank.org or otherwise.

(3) www.bgfoodbank.org stores the personal data that it is required to keep under the applicable legislation for the relevant stipulated period, which may exceed the period of existence of your registration.

Transfer of your personal data for processing

Art. 5. (1) www.bgfoodbank.org may, at its own discretion, transfer part or all of your personal data to personal data processors for the fulfillment of the processing purposes in compliance with the requirements of Regulation (EU) 2016/679.

(2) www.bgfoodbank.org notifies you in case of intention to transfer part or all of your personal data to third countries or international organizations.

Your rights in the collection, processing and storage of your personal data

Withdrawal of consent to the processing of your personal data

Art. 6. (1) If you do not wish all or part of your personal data to continue to be processed by www.bgfoodbank.org for specific or all processing purposes, you may at any time withdraw your consent to processing by filling in the form in your profile or by free text request.

(2) www.bgfoodbank.org may ask you to verify your identity and identity with the data subject.

(3) With the withdrawal of consent to the processing of personal data, which is mandatory for the creation and maintenance of your registration for using the services, your account will become inactive.

Right of access

Art. 7. (1) You have the right to request and receive from www.bgfoodbank.org confirmation whether personal data related to you is being processed.

(3) www.bgfoodbank.org provides you, upon request, a copy of the processed personal data related to you, in electronic or other appropriate form.

(4) Providing access to the data is free of charge, but www.bgfoodbank.org reserves the right to impose an administrative fee in case of repetitive or excessive requests.

Right to correction or completion

Art. 8. You can correct or complete inaccurate or incomplete personal data related to you directly through your profile on the website or by making a request to www.bgfoodbank.org

Right to deletion ("to be forgotten")

Art. 9.(1) You have the right to ask www.bgfoodbank.org to delete the personal data related to you, and www.bgfoodbank.org has the obligation to delete them without undue delay, when any of the following grounds are present:

  • the personal data are no longer necessary for the purposes for which they were collected or otherwise processed;
  • You withdraw your consent on which the data processing is based and there is no other legal basis for the processing;
  • You object to the processing of information related to you
  • with personal data, including for the purposes of direct marketing and there are no legitimate grounds for the processing that have an advantage;
  • the personal data were processed unlawfully;
  • the personal data must be deleted in order to comply with a legal obligation under EU law or the law of a Member State that applies to bgfoodbank.org;
  • personal data were collected in connection with the provision of information society services.

    (2) The bgfoodbank.org site is not obliged to delete personal data if it stores and processes them:
  • to exercise the right to freedom of expression and the right to information;
  • to comply with a legal obligation that requires processing provided for in EU or Member State law that applies to the Administrator or for the performance of a task in the public interest or in the exercise of official powers conferred on him;

  • for the purposes of archiving in the public interest, for scientific or historical research or for statistical purposes;
  • for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims.

(3) In order to exercise your right to be "forgotten", you should submit a request through the option in your profile or a written request sent to www.bgfoodbank.org, as well as certify your identity and identity with the person to whom they refer the data before www.bgfoodbank.org by presenting your identity card on site for identification purposes and, if necessary, entering your data subject login details to a www.bgfoodbank.org employee.

Art. 12.
